Hadar Hatorah is the world’s first yeshiva for Baalei Teshuva. Founded in 1962 by Rabbi Yisroel Jacobson, Yeshivat Kol Yaakov Yehudah Hadar Hatorah provides a warm environment in Crown Heights where young men can strengthen their connection to Yiddishkeit. Arriving from all over the world with little or no Jewish background, these promising students learn to walk in the derech of Chassidus and the Rebbeim.
Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yaakov Goldberg recalls the words of the Rebbe:
“I know the students from Hadar Hatorah! I have seen the change in them. They have been transformed ‘Min Ha’Katze el Ha’Katze’—from one end to the other (from secular to observant).”
Student Avy Nakache shares,
“I came from France to Hadar Hatorah. I hardly knew what Chassidus was, but I was able to maximize my spiritual growth!”

Most students come to Hadar Hatorah without financial or parental support. The yeshiva absorbs the cost of tuition and board so that no deserving student is turned away due to financial constraints. Your contribution will provide financial aid to both incoming and returning students. Every donation will be doubled, and every dollar will directly support the education of these young men who are new to Chassidus.
The Rebbe once told Rabbi Jacobson that Hadar Hatorah students should always remain in “his Daled Amos.” Your commitment to Hadar Hatorah ensures that the Rebbe’s most precious bochurim are nurtured and educated.
