A single mother from the community has fallen upon a crisis. Her marriage of many years fell apart in difficult circumstances, and she is left caring for more than 4 children alone. Sadly and unfortunately, her ex-husband is refusing to contribute his share towards the support of the children, and the bills have grown and grown.
Going to camp and vacation is a normal thing for most families but for these beautiful kinderlach they didn’t have those privileges.
Raising a large family is a challenge for a happily-married couple—for a single mother, it can seem like an impossibility. She is facing a daunting challenge: juggling housework, caring for her little ones, and earning a living, all without the support of the children’s father. Her expenses have simply outpaced the income she can bring in, and she has fallen deeply into debt.
Let’s help a mother and children from the community. The mitzvah of tzedakah is especially crucial when it is someone from our own community.

In addition to the community, there is an organization called Connect part of IDCC (Interborough) where I work that can assist her to see that she is getting her benefits. There are also funds for assistance with other needs. She can call718.778.o485 or 929.677.0060 and ask for the Connect Program. So in addition to paying some of her debts they can get HRA benefits in place going forward.
