This past Thursday Yagdil Torah held a naming event at the Heichal Halimud on President street.
The event was to name the Yagdil Torah President Street location in memory of Reb Dovid Krasnjanski obm.
The crowd was welcomed by Rabbi Browd, whom then proceeded to give a speech about the history of Yagdil Torah and its impact throughout the years. He said that R’ Dovid Krasnjasnski A”H studied at Yagdil Torah’s Heichal Halimud and that The crown heights community is very grateful to the Krasnjanski family for coming together to dedicate this location in honor of their Zeide, thereby making its continuation a reality.
A few family members took the stand and spoke about their Zeide, and how much learning meant to Him and the impact learning has in general.
A member from the Kollel Zkeinin Levi Yitzchak – Ner Michoel also shared insight on R’ Dovid Krasnjanski as he remembers him from teaching at the kolel.
A slideshow was displayed of interviews of some Yagdil Torah members and showed pictures and testimonies of family members on Reb Dovids life of Torah learning.
At the conclusion of the event the plaque with Reb Dovids name was unveiled.
