There was a large turnout Sunday at Teva Drugs on Kingston Avenue, as residents of Crown Heights as well as other Brooklyn neighborhoods came to the pharmacy to seek the advice of the renowned nutritionist Mr. Eliezer Gruber, founder of Nutri Supreme Research.
Despite the large number of people present, Mr. Gruber was able to devote his individual attention to each, as well as to consult a small group of mothers on how to raise healthy and happy children.
“The most important factor in health is optimal nutrition,” says Eliezer Gruber. “Certain things are difficult to get in a regular diet,” he says, therefore, he recommends taking daily Omega 3, Vitamin D and a good multi-vitamin. Mr. Gruber also quoted Dr. Walter Willett, a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, who advocates taking a multi-vitamin as “an insurance policy.”
“It was really nice of the management of the Teva Drugs to organize such an important event, to give us the opportunity to bring our questions to Mr. Gruber,” said Mrs. Kravitsky, one of many mothers who came on Sunday to discuss important topics with the nutritionist.
“We were happy to see a very positive response from the community, and are already talking about organizing more educational events in the near future,” said the store manager Leah Dashevsky.

Dan thank you for the comment, but I think you misunderstood what i said. No where did I say to discard supplements. I take them myself. I hoped I made it clear that supplements alone will not turn the tide to prolonged health and life. Weight control and exercise is essential
You are right Meir. Just taking vitamins and supplements is not sufficient. Exercise and proper diet is the key to health. What you don’t realize, however, is that some essential vitamins one can not get even in a good diet. For instance, Vitamin D is only derived from the sun. Good luck getting in in the winter on the East Coast:). Therefore, many doctors will recommend Vitamin D as a supplement even during the summer months.

I beg to differ with Mr. G.-the most important health factor is not being overweight (which unfortunately many people are)-exercise, control your weight by not overeating and by not overeating the wrong foods (and yes if one does that, useless dieting is unnecessary) and you will far surpass what can be accomplished if you took every supplement on those shelves. May you all live to 120
Thank you Teva Drugs for providing the opportunity to receive nutritional advice!!! We need more events like this!!!!
Was very nice of Teva to make this event. They should definitely do more such events in the future!
