By popular demand, after an incredibly successful launch last year, Camp Gan Yisroel for European Tzeirei Hashluchim in Sweden for boys ages 8-14 is back again, preparing for another summer.
Shluchim to Sweden, Rabbi Alexander Namdar and his wife Leah opened the boys camp last year, following the success of the Tzeirei Hashluchos girls’ camp, founded in 5769 by Chabad Sweden and Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch.
The Head counselors will once again be Itchy Glassner of Montreal, Canada, and Berel Namdar of Gotheburg, Sweden, with members of last years’ dedicated staff returning too.
“The camp for Tzeirei Hashluchim seeks to fill an urgent need for boys growing up on Shlichus in remote places in Europe, giving them access to a kind of chinuch opportunities that were previously not available,” says Rabbi Namdar, head shliach to Sweden and director of the camp.
“There is B”H a devoted group of chassidishe and freiliche bochurim who are coming to staff the camp, who by their example alone will be an inspiration to the Tzeirei Hashluchim, strengthening their hiskashrus to the Rebbe, and giving them strength in their shlichus.”
The camp is growing rapidly B’H, and place are limited.
The fun-packed three week program includes farbrengens, great learning, exciting trips, swimming, arts and crafts, night activities, canoeing, and much more.
Summer 5772 dates: Monday 11 Menachem Av to Monday, 2 Ellul (30 July- 20 August).
