A rocket fired by Arab terrorists in the Gaza Strip directly hit a Chabad kindergarten in Sderot on Tuesday.
The injury caused extensive damage to the building. Thankfully, no people were injured in the attack.
As the closet Jewish city to Gaza, Sderot had suffers from continual and ongoing firing of rockets from Gaza for the past 20 years. To date, over 16,000 rockets have been fired upon Sderot alone.
This rocket, shot a day after Jews in Israel celebrated the holiday of Shavuos, is the latest in the barrage of attacks on Israeli cities and civilians in the last week.
Upon hearing about the hit on the kindergarten, Sderot Shliach Rabbi Moshe Ze’ev Pizem rushed to the scene to asses the damage and begin clean up.
“We will begin the rebuilding process – both physically and emotionally,” he stated.
