Dear Collive Readers:
The reaction we’ve been getting as we roll across America has been amazing.
After all, it’s not too often that you meet people cycling across the U.S. It’s even less often that you meet people cycling across the U.S. for a great cause. (And even less when they’re rabbis!)
And what could be a greater cause than helping kids with special needs?
Thanks to our awesome sponsors led by 1SaleADay.com and KosherOnABudget.com, Bike4Friendship has brought smiles and cheers from public servants and private citizens alike in every city and town we’ve hit so far.
People have responded enthusiastically, positively and proactively.
Everywhere we’ve gone, people have just eaten up our story and our message. And the message of including and embracing individuals with special needs is spreading like wildfire.
Thanks to Bike4Friendship, more people than ever are learning about individuals with special needs. More people are learning about caring and sharing. And more people are learning about the Friendship Circle.
Equally importantly, more Jews than ever are learning about their own spiritual heritage.
You would not believe where we’ve been finding Jews—and how positively surprised and inspired they’ve been to find not one but three young rabbis who are also professional cyclists.
Thanks to this amazing cross-country ride, we’ve shattered so many stereotypes and misconceptions about G-d, Torah, and Judaism. (The questions we get!)
But from Day One, we haven’t taken our eyes off the goal: to get as many people as possible to sponsor as many $4 miles as possible.
And that’s why we’re writing this letter to YOU.
We want you to donate $4 for every mile we ride—and we want you to sponsor as many miles as you can: $400 (40 miles), $40 (ten miles), or even just $4 (one mile).
Imagine if you sponsored a mile or two… or ten… or 40. It’s not a lot of money. But it goes a long way. Here’s why:
Multiply that by a few dozen… a few hundred… a few thousand—and hundreds and even thousands of children with special needs will benefit.
Because every penny goes to the Friendship Circle—helping it reach even more children with special needs with even more programs, and better programs.
So as you read this—and as we ride through the great state of Texas—click here to donate as many $4 miles as you can. Now.
If you’ve given already, please give again. If you haven’t, please give now. And either way, please tell everyone you know about Bike4Friendship. E-mail them this story. Like us on Facebook. Follow us online daily.
We’re taking awareness of kids with special needs to the streets, street corners, highways and byways of America. And we can’t do it without you.
Children with special needs need you. The Friendship Circle needs you. And we need you.
Please: Sponsor Bike4Friendship miles. Today. Now. And tell all your friends to do the same.
It won’t be the same without you.
