Dear Family, Friends, Neighbors and Caring People Worldwide,
You can help so easily!
We are launching a vital project in the days leading up to 22 Shevat. This is an opportune time to notify your community of the seriousness of R’ Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin‘s situation.
We ask you to encourage your family, friends and neighbors to donate their scrap gold i.e. broken gold trinkets, odd gold pieces or outdated gold jewelry they no longer use. Please see the flier below for simple steps that will enable you to help.

all they are asking for is for a little scraps of gold that for you is useless, if you have a pair of earrings, you wouldnt wear it anyway, giving away our extras, is the least we could do to help!!!! Hatzlocha rabah!!!!!
why compare it to that, when you can compare it to something positheive, like the collection of money including jewllery, from every chossid when the alter rebbe was imprisonned
is there a location in Los Angeles??
I was quite shocked at your comment……& you are CHABAD??????
We have established this new Facebook Page on behalf of Sholom Rubashkin’s family @

We’ve also set up a Twitter page for updates on the case and any news. Please feel free to sign up to follow at http://twitter.com/FriendsofSholom
i going to give a gold tooth
i dont need it i can chew without it
its more imp that this innocent yid can spend time with his kinder
Where do we bring the jewelry? NCJFE 824 ep??
I AM SURE WE ALL HAVE JEWELRY THAT IS JUST SITTING AROUND.
MAY HASHEM BLESS US ALL
MAY WE ALL GET OF OUR PERSONAL MITZRAYIM
AND REB SMR OUT OF HIS PHYS MITZRAYIM
The issue now is not guilt or innocence, it is getting him out on bail pending his sentencing in about 2-3 months. This is a humane issue. He is not a flight risk & should be afforded this benifit which is afforded for nearly all white colour crimes.
Lets stay & keep united with positive thoughts. Your good deeds will not only help Sholom Modcha, the aibishter bleibt nisht kein baal chov, it will be good for you & your family also b’bone chaya umezona b’revicha !!
well said!
Let Hashem see the achdus and send us the bais hamikdosh
= the permanent mishkan
Kllal Yisroel have a rare opportunity to rectify the sin of the egel
AM YISROEL CHAI
shlomo Hamelech says that when passing judgement on another you actually pass judgement on yourself
I would like to be forgiven for any wrongdoings
i will fight for a big mitzvah of pidyan shivuyim
The message we send is that we protect each other form the outside and discipline on the inside
any good parent or sibling would tell you that
i at first was thinking the same thing, but think for a minute the only reason he is sitting in prison for so long is because he is jewish. everyday in the local newspaper we read about people who murdered others and even then they dont have to sit that long! he is our brother and we need to do everythinng we can to help him!
It’s shocking to see your comment.
A) Remember the mitzva of Pidyan Shivuyim?
B) Do you know Sholom Rubashkin?
C) Are you educated in the details of this case?
D) Are you aware that he is getting an extra harsh/unflexible treatment and judgement?
Despite all of the above mentioned, the case of a father (a tremendous baal chessed and baal tzedakah) with ten children including one autistic son, should touch anybody’s heart. Enough said.
Kol Yisroel Areivim Zeh Lozeh-
Feeling for each other is what keeps our nation healthy and safe.
The Achdus is overwhelming. WHY MUST YOU NIT PICK OVER EVERY LITTLE THING???
Cough up the gold & save a life of a fellow Yid.
You should be ashamed of yourself !!
How do you have the Chutzpah to call your Self South Africa CHABAD.. If you are so good at trash talking put your name up for all to see…….
stay in south africa and stop worrying about the goyim do you say to give back land too
zerizin makdimin lemitzvos all good deeds should be done right away dont put off till tomorrow what you can do today
What is this world coming to? You do the crime, you do the time! what message does this send the Goyim?
may everyone beautify and sanctify the precious rubashkin mishpacha!
Please don’t compare a great mitzvah like Pidyon Shvuyim with lehavdil Avodah Zarah!
Your meanspiritness is matched only by your illiteracy. The women did NOT give their gold for the egel, they gave their gold for the mishkan.
Fools like you are the ones who made the egel.
honey, it was NOT the women’s jewellery donated for the egel- it says everywhere specefically it was the men’s, whereas the women only donated for worthy causes- like for kiyor/mishkan. this is a Wonderful idea- we all have single earrings (lost one), and old stuff, and this is a great thing to do! Hatzlacha rabba! MAY THIS BRING THE GEULA!
good luck!!
if its gold, yes
can i donate a gold tooth
when money ran out… “porku nizmei zahav” for the egel.
the last gold drive Aharon ran, where the women contributed all their gold.
