Girls Inspired in Costa Rica

After a summer of working at different Camp Gan Israels around the US, 16 girls received the best payment they ever could have imagined.

In just ten short days the girls enjoyed a trip in Costa Rica with a packed and exciting schedule, providing them with inspiration to last a lifetime.

The camp, under the directorship of Tzippy Spalter and Chabad of Costa Rica, opened the girls’ eyes to the miracles of nature. Whether surfing or zip lining, rappelling or parasailing, the lesson was made clear: Hashem truly is everywhere.

After every trip, the girls Farbrenged about something that happened that day, and connected it to their Avodas Hashem. The girls also learned Gemara, Sichos, and Maamarim with Rabbi Spalter, as well as with their counselors Kiki Halperin and Chaya Gammal. Tanya was learned before Davening and Chumash with Rashi during Mincha.

The girls stayed at a beautiful hotel, and were served gourmet meals cooked by a professional chef. They met many Israelis on trips, and had discussions with them about Judaism, and gave out Neshek to the women.

On one trip, they met a cult of 25 Israelis formed by a woman who called herself the Moses of the group. Her word was eternal to them, and the campers very respectfully discussed with the cult their thoughts about the true Torah life, leaving an impression upon them.

The campers returned home inspired and motivated. “My daughter is in euphoria since returning yesterday, who now wants to continue learning Chassidus (a first!),” one mother wrote to the camp directors.
