Earlier in May, the girls of Chabad of South Broward Bat Mitzvah Club, along with their families, celebrated a beautiful and elegant Bat Mitzvah Party.
The Bat Mitzvah Club meets every other Wednesday evening, where members enjoy a combination of learning and fun through meetings, special programs and hands-on activities and projects.
The year-long program culminated in a gala Bat Mitzvah party, highlighting the accomplishments of each of the members.
Sheva Tennenhaus introduced each Bat Mitzvah girl, highlighting their virtues and growth in Yiddishkeit. Then each Bat Mitzvah celebrant said a Dvar Torah.
The Bat Mitzvah Club in South Broward is directed Mrs. Dassy Tennenhaus.
“These girls will face the future as committed, knowledgeable and confident Jewish women who are proud of their unique identities,” says Mrs. Tennenhaus. “Aside from continuing a vibrant heritage from the past, they will form a new generation of leaders and active participants in the Jewish community.”
Mrs. Nurit Feuer, a mother of one the Bat Mitzvah girls, proudly got up at the dinner and praised not only the Bat Mitzvah Club, and its influence on her daughter, but also the CTeen Club, where another one of her children is enrolled.
