Following record high temperatures in parts of New York on Sunday, much of the region is looking at significant snowfall in the early morning hours leading into Monday’s commute.
New York City officials, who issued a travel advisory for the morning hours, are preparing for snow totals that could fall between 1 and 3 inches.
The snow will likely stop falling by 3 PM, forecasters said.
Mayor Eric Adams said city crews were prepared to deal with the foul weather.
New Yorkers are advised to exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking, and allow for additional travel time as roads may be slippery and visibilities may be low.
