Congregation B’nei Ruven in Chicago, led by Rabbi Baruch Hertz, attracted thousands of people to the biggest Sukkot event in the midwest – its annual Simchas Beis Hashoeva.
The morning started out with rain, but miraculously cleared and enabled a full day of kids’ entertainment including rides, petting zoo, pony rides, concert, arts & crafts.
The day was topped off with “Dancing in the Streets” with guest entertainer Shloime Gertner from London, England. Senators and aldermen attended.
During intermission, over a thousand people watched a video of the Rebbe on a huge mounted screen.
As usual, very impressed with Bnei Ruven. It is a shul that cares about the entire Jewish community and promotes achdus. Rabbi Hertz and his family are special people that we can all learn from.
