It’s been a few short months since the inception of Velimadtem – the weekly overview for parents – of what was learned by their children in Yeshiva that week, and it has already made waves in homes across the world.
Rabbi Mendy Itzinger, the founder and director of the project, tells COLlive that the response has been phenomenal.
“We have been receiving registration from literally the four corners of the globe, and the general response has been very heartwarming,” he said. “Numerous people have emailed us to say how much the papers have helped them keep in touch with their children, and their learning.”
Although the weekly overview doesn’t take much time to learn, some members have requested to have a way of addressing their questions on the Gemara.
For that reason ‘Velimaditem’ will now be starting a new service, to answer any questions about the Gemara of that week.
Members will be able to email a team led by senior editor Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Klein and will receive a response within 24 hours.
“We aim to ensure that every parent is able to learn what their son is learning,” says Rabbi Itzinger. “There are always questions and queries to help clarify a ‘Sugya’, and we are committed to helping all parents on all levels of learning.”

Surely you can make time once a week to talk to your son for a few minutes? Just as important as his learning.
To know how your son is doing in yeshiva is a must for every parent
Such a great service thank you rabbi Itzinger!!
The registration lasts a year as far as I know.
When I register, how long does a subscription last?
Velimadtem is a must for every parent!
I have been using velimadtem for a few months now. It’s really good (even though I don’t have the time each wrrk to talk to him, the fact that he knows I’m learning what he is is great). Thank you.
