An organization in Crown Heights, which raises funds to send children to Jewish summer camp, honors the memory of a teenager murdered in Crown Heights 35 years ago.
Avrohom Eliezer Goldman was 17 years old when he was tragically murdered on the streets of Crown Heights, as he stood outside his Yeshiva one summer evening.
Under the Rebbe’s instruction, a Camp Fund was founded in his memory, enabling hundreds of children to attend camp each summer.
Before the fundraiser every year, the Rebbe would send his blessing along with a monetary participation.
This coming Sunday, you can particpate as well, at a Chinese Auction being held to raise the much needed funds to send hundreds of children to camp this year.
The auction will be held on Sunday, May 13, 21 Iyar, at Lubavitcher Yeshiva, 570 Crown Street.
