Culminating a year of amazing volunteering and service, the Bochurim who have dedicated hours upon hours to the Friendship Circle, taking part in all aspects of the “Boys Division” celebrated with a barbeque and bonfire.
Programs included Friends@Home, a weekly one on one learning session, Karate classes and the Boys Shabbos Minyan.
While thanking the Bochurim, Rabbi Berel Majesky, director of the Friendship Circle, encouraged the guys to keep in touch with their special friend, and to share their experiences with their peers, motivating them to volunteer and be a part of the circle.
The host of the evening, Rabbi Ari Kirschenbaum of Chabad of Prospect Heights, explained the broader affect of their volunteering, and how it impacts the whole family.
Boy’s Division coordinator Yossi Smoller thanked the Bochurim and presented each volunteer with a Friendship Circle sweatshirt as a small token of appreciation for their great work.
A raffle for an iPad was made, sponsored by Mr. Eli Weinstock.
