A group of over 80 participants traveled to spend a “Shabbos with the Rebbe” in New York. The visit is organized by the “Sinai Institutions – France” under the direction of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Pevzner.
As soon as they arrived at the airport in Paris, everyone received a bag with different learning booklets for the duration of the trip, discussing the importance of connecting with the Rebbe and visiting the Ohel.
On Friday morning after immersion in the mikvah and prayer at 770 the group visited the Rebbe’s house and the 770. They also visited the offices of the Merkos – 302 with Rabbi Shneur Nejar.
This was followed by a Shabbat that will not be forgotten by participants.
They gathered for a Friday night meal that lasted until midnight with stories and Torah sayings. During the meal, a Davar Torah with a special message was given by Rabbi Pevzner.
Immediately after Shabbat, the group entered the Rebbe’s room at 770.
On Sunday morning, they attended a JLI class at the museum, after which they toured the Jewish Children’s Museum. After posing for a group photo they headed to the Chabad House of Palisade – New Jersey with Rabbi Mordechai Shain. Upon their return to Crown Heights, they participated in the Adar dancing at 770.
On Monday morning, after a Torah lesson, they went to visit the new mikvah in Crown Heights and the matzah bakery.
At the end of the trip, they went to the Ohel and straight to the airport, headed back to their hometowns in France.
The organization of the group and the entire program is under the direction of Rabbi Avraham Baruch and Chanie Pevzner who invested a lot in the success of the trip.
