BROOKLYN – A Brooklyn food blogger recently won an award for a delicious mushroom dish.
Chanie Apfelbaum, of Crown Heights, created an alternate cheeseburger recipe using Portobello mushroom instead of meat.
She submitted her recipe to a contest sponsored by the Mushroom Council and won second place.
The food blogger and chef says this is only the beginning. She wants to keep cooking and growing her catalog of recipes from her Brooklyn home.
Chani, like her mother and sister, is an excellent cook. It’s the Hecht genes – one great cook after another
Very nice thing. Keep up ur creativity
Hey Folks, it’s not a CHEESEBURGER….it’s a PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM Burger…..all Kosher and Tznius. Great work
Chanie. Love your Blog!
Way to go Chani! Keep up the good work, hatzlocho!
Your first question is up to you to decide. It’s a kosher cheeseburger, so it’s no need for exaggeration.
Number 10’s point is… lately “some” Chabad women on TV/YouTube appearances have not been dressed in a tznius manner. That’s all. Take a chill you frustrated person.
Life’s too short.
What does Tznius have to do with her winning and making a delicious kosher cheesburger
Aren’t we good enough as Yidden? Why must we copy the Goyim with things like this???
The recipe for the portobello mushroom burger is available here: http://www.busyinbrooklyn.com/portobello-burgers-with-sundried-tomato-aioli/
