I became a deputy sheriff here in SW Florida in 2003, in 2010 i began to make Teshuvah and become Toarh observant. This cost me my law enforcement career because i was not permitted to have off Shabbos or wear a kippah. I was a 110% solid squared away cop that worked successfully in patrol, corrections and as a gang investigator, I was told to make a decision what was more important in my life being a good cop or being a good Jew.
