2 months ago, a Jewish student at the Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana reported having a mezuzah repeatedly torn down from her dorm room door.
Rabbi Levi Cunin, Director of the Chabad House – Jewish Student Center at the university, was concerned about the rise in antisemitism.
“Four different mezuzahs have been torn down since the start of our New Year, one of them was torn down twice,” he told the Indiana Daily Student in October. “This has to be done intentionally — it’s high up on the door.”
In response, Rabbi Levi and Sheina Cunin, together with Head Shluchim in Bloomington, IN Rabbi Yehoshua and Zlata Chincholker, launched a campaign to provide mezuzahs to Jewish students to hang up on their doors as required by Jewish law. Over 50 mezuzahs have been hung since.
During Chanukah, another worrying incident happened when Nazi swastikas were spraypainted on walls at several locations around campus.
A few days earlier, Rabbi Cunin lit a 9-foot-tall Menorah at the university’s Sample Gates to celebrate Chanukah with the students and the community.
Blessings were recited and the Bloomington Fire Department used one of its ladder trucks to drop “chocolate gelt” from the sky, the Herald Times reported.
In response to the swastikas, Rabbi Cunin lit an additional menorah near one of the sites of the antisemitic graffiti which has since been painted over.
He said that while the story of the Jewish victory of the Chanukah story happened some 2,000 years ago, he felt that the battle hasn’t fully ended.
He committed to continuing to spread light and Judaism at Indiana University.

Are you aware of the amount of anti-Semitism not only tolerated by the Democrat party, but actively encouraged by it? (And yes, that includes by your heroine.) Are you aware that IU, like most colleges today, is hard-left, and that this vandalism was far more likely perpetrated by someone from that side of the aisle than by one of the phantoms of your delusions?

Hashem should guide the world towards progressive ideals where all humankind is treated with equality and respect.

Do you know anything about what is going on college campuses? Jews are being terrorized daily by far left antisemities. Just over the last few days several student unions have tried to ban Hillel and even Jewish food.

Most who are called conservatives including most who call themselves conservatives, aren’t.
But those who actually are, real true conservatives (a very tiny number) are the tolerant ones, who believe in true equality.
