COLlive.com presents Shabbos Night Live, a weekly web class with Torah thought, chassidic stories and timely inspiration.
Presented by Rabbi Shmuel Butman, Executive Director of the Central Lubavitch Youth Organization (Tzach Hamerkazis) and a veteran columnist and radio broadcaster.
On this week’s program:
How Reb Shimon Bar Yochai explained the words that seemed like non-blessings to blessings. The explanation of the Maharsha, the Tzemach Tzedek and the Rebbe.
Weekly story: The first-born son had meningitis and it was a faulty word in the Mezuza that explained it.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
The Rabbe told him to check his Tefilin. Tefilin that are not Kosher are a Brocho Levatolo — G-d’s name in vain– and its not one time, its every single week day.
I would humbly suggest that you check your mezuzah… 🙂 Perhaps the words “im shamo’a”…
some of these mezuzah stories concern people who lacked a mezuzah, so there is really no escape….
WHO ARE YOU KIDDING?
Why does it seem that it would be better to NOT HAVE a mezuzah than to have a faulty one. It’s almost as though people are cursed for having tried to do something right.
This is seriously messed up.
Rabbi Butman said that the Rebbe said to check the tefillin, not the mezuzos.
Also please check your computer. We get it just fine.
We enjoy listening to Rabbi Butman’s shiur every week but the last two weeks the recording has been intermittent. Is there anything that can be done please.
