Hundreds of Lubavitch Chassidim and bochurim gathered this past Motzoei Shabbos Breishis for the annual Melave Malka at Beth Chaya Mushka in Paris, directed by Rabbi Mendel Azimov.
The event was held with additional excitement as one of the first events in the country to mark the unity year of Hakhel.
The guest speaker was Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Pevzner, longtime Shliach and Director of the Sinai educational institutions in Paris.
He spoke about the special life of his son Rabbi Motel Pevzner, a young husband and father and devoted Shliach in the southern French city of Perpignan.
R’ Motel tragically passed away on Erev Yom Kippur 5783, leaving behind a wife, 7 children, siblings and many who were inspired by his selfless life (donate to his family here).
The event also included a panel discussion on the theme of Hakhel joined by Shluchim Rabbi Daniel Gabai, Rabbi Mendel Mendel Bitton and Rabbi Mendy Sabag.
