Over 2500 people attended Miracle Drive 5773, Chabad House of Johannesburg’s annual fundraiser, at the Sandton Convention Centre this week.
Mike Whitfield, CEO of Nissan South Africa pledged another Infiniti vehicle for next year’s Miracle Drive’s first prize, while South Africa’s largest bank, Standard Bank, committed to another R1.8 million for the second consecutive year.
Guest speaker Senator Joseph Lieberman addressed the capacity crowd about the miracles in life, as well as the miracles of Chabad.
The senator said he had not addressed such a large crowd since accepting the vice presidential nomination.
Meyer Kahn, the former Chairman of SAB Miller and President of Miracle Drive, was honored by Lieberman for his invaluable support and endorsement of Miracle Drive.
Motivated by the Rebbe’s statement that Moshiach will come through acts of goodness and kindness, a new learning app was launched which can be downloaded from apple and android.
