The Jewish community in Tannersville NY, held its first Siyum Harambam Monday evening, featuring the Bostoner Rebbe of Flatbush, Brooklyn, and Reb Hershel Schachter, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva University, as its guest speakers.
Rabbi Tzvi Tauby of Crown Heights concluded the Mishnah Torah, with close to 40 participants attending. Rabbi Tauby has completed three chapters of Rambam daily for 20 years (starting at age 18), and has not missed one day.
“The unity of various Jewish communities in the summer vacation spot in Tannersville is a testimony to the Rebbe’s vision of achdus of Yidden!” a resident said.
The event was organized by R’ Avraham Frank, the director of the international Moment of Silence, and his wife Shira Frank.
