This Sunday evening, Oholei Torah will celebrate their 54th Annual Dinner, and COLlive will be there to cover the event with a live hook-up for the first time.
Utilizing a new service provided by Innovision AV Inc., with cameras installed throughout the Oholei Torah ballroom as a service to the world-wide Lubavitch community, bringing them closer through modern technology every day.
This year’s dinner will include a special tribute to over 40 classmates of Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg, slain Chabad Shliach in Mumbai, India.
A video of the life of Gavriel as a bochur in Oholei Torah has been prepared, with first-time released pictures of Gavriel in his childhood, and also interviews with his fellow students, close friends and teachers.
Also being honored are donors to Oholei Torah, who have pledged and given their support even during these challenging times.
A unique Teacher’s Award will be given to a member of the Mesivta Hanhola who has been nominated by his fellow teachers.
Rabbi Joseph Rosenfeld, Executive Director of Oholei Torah, said that “this being a year of hakhel, gives us the koach of unity and achdus, to overcome all the current financial obstacles, and will allow Oholei Torah to enjoy its continued successes as in the past 54 years and even more.”
The video hookup is sponsored by Innovision, a company that provides video and plasma screens and live hook-ups from simchas and events in Oholei Torah, enabling family members and friends from around the world to take part in the simcha via a private link. For more information, click here.
