Sunday night, over 150 members of Montreal’s Anash community came together to mark the unveiling of “Pei’lei Chabad Montreal” a project that facilitates, encourages and coordinates Mivtzoim for Anash in the city.
The MC Rabbi Yaakov Ringo – Rov of Anshei Lubavitch, presented ways that Anash could get involved. Forms were given out for people to fill out and indicate the way they want to participate.
One of the major points of the presentation was that this is a grassroots project, organized by Anash and for Anash.
Rabbi Berl Bell – one of Rabbonei Anash and member of the Beis Din of Montreal, spoke about the uniqueness of Montreal and how much more outreach can be done by Anash working together with the Shluchim.
Rabbi Zushe Silberstein, one of the veteran Shluchim in Montreal, spoke of how much Nachas Ruach the Rebbe has when anash work together on activities to spread Yidishkeit.
The guest speaker Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky, the Rov of the Lubavitch community in Rechovot, had the crowd mesmerized with stories and inspiration into the night. He spoke of elder Chassidim who had a pair of Tefilin with them wherever they would go, like Reb Shmuel Dovid Raichik who found a Jew in the white house and put on Tefilin with him while waiting to enter the oval office with a delegation of Shluchim.
After the main speech, Rabbi Gluckowsky farbrenged with Anash until 1am. Many people took upon themselves to be involved in the project, and to organize groups in their Shul or circle of friends.

This is how everything should be done. We are all shluchim of the Rebbe. No more Us and Them.
