Duchmans Expand “Kosher Diet”

The creators of The Fresh Diet, America’s premier at-home meal delivery company, announced Monday that the “Kosher Fresh Diet” has opened its doors for delivery in the Northeast corridor.

The introduction of Kosher Fresh Diet in the greater New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington D.C. regions marks the second leg of expansion for the complementary kosher meal plan.

Zalmi Duchman and Yosef Schwartz founded the specialized diet service in 2005 which hand-delivers 3 freshly-prepared delicious and healthy meals and 2 snacks each day.

In January 2006 they launched a new line in South Florida called “Kosher Fresh Diet,” certified by the Orthodox Union (OU), which serves clients in and around Miami proper, Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale and run by Duchman’s brother Ezzy Duchman.

Menu and recipe creations are overseen by Schwartz, a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef and The Fresh Diet’s Chief Culinary Officer, with kitchen operations located in Brooklyn, NY.

With the Northeast expansion, Ezzy Duchman says the Kosher Fresh Diet company is “meeting the demand for healthier Kosher meals and is taking it one step further with the convenience factor.”

He also provides members with an online meal planner and hands-on control over their service plan. The Kosher Fresh Diet chefs can accommodate certain dietary restrictions and personal taste preferences.

The program is currently zip-code restricted and on average will cost 34.99 per day. Jewpon.com is offering a 24-hour deal for only $10.

“With our launch, kosher keepers will now have the option for gourmet, Glatt Kosher and healthy meals at an incredibly affordable price.”

They have recently purchased a food truck in New York which is in the process of being converted to the “Kosher Fresh Diet Express.” The truck is slated to hit the streets of Manhattan in mid-July and is also certified by the OU.

Kosher Fresh Diet has plans to expand their service to Toronto, Canada within the year.
