Dr. Itshak Bokobza, a dedicated chossid and family physician in Creteil, a commune in the southeastern suburbs of Paris, France, passed away on Shabbos, 10 Nissan 5780.
He was 70 and was infected by coronavirus.
He was an active member and supporter of Beth Habad de Créteil, directed by Rabbi Chaim Mellul. A regular at farbrengens, he made a Kiddush Hashem with he demeanor and kindness that he has shown to all people that he met.
Proudly looking like a chossid with a full beard, he treated patients with care but was also eager to share a little spirituality. Those visiting his office would leave with the “Sidra of the Week” pamphlet, a Dvar Torah and advice for the chinuch of children.
“He was sweet, attentive, patient, affable, benevolent to all,” commented his friend, Michael Bismuth. “He was an extraordinary doctor and with a modesty that I have never seen in others. This man was kindness embodied. He davened slowly and with concentration.”
He is survived by his wife Ashman Chaya, their children Michael, Shmuel, Nechama, Sarah, Chana and Gila; and grandchildren.
