In Nitzovim-Vayelech 5743 the Rebbe said:
If you want Hashem to give to you like you’re rich, you have to give like a rich person!
When a Yid promises a big amount to Tzedakah, Hashem opens a new vessel for him so he can fulfill his promise.
The Rebbe also gave clear instructions on how to do it –
Give a pledge in writing of how much tzedakah you are going to give every month and Hashem will make sure you can give it and even more!
