You make a very important point about a child’s need to fully express their feelings in a safe environment and afterwards discuss with an adult. A child who feels that he or she is not being heard must be able to express themselves fully in front of a parent who then guides the child to different ways of expressing themselves or the parent may need to learn to spend time to listen to the child. a child should not have the expectations of an adult. An adult should be able to do what she suggested of nails. I understand it’s an example only. Yes that is what happens – but a child who has so much frustration built up for them to scream to let it out because they dont know how else to get it out of their system – I know is a healthy thing to do and they should not be responsible for the adults feelings – let the adult not be confused who is in pain here – the child here… Read more »
