Revital Malca, deputy consul general of Israel to Florida and Puerto Rico, was in New York for a diplomatic mission, but took time for some spiritual encouragement on Sunday.
On Sunday, she took her family to Cambria Heights in Queens to visit the Rebbe‘s Ohel gravesite where she prayed for the success of her work and the Jewish state.
She brought with her a U.S. dollar bill given by the Rebbe that she received from Rabbi Zev Raskin, Director of Chabad of Cyprus, during her tenure as Deputy Head of Mission at the Israeli Embassy in Cyprus.
“Chabad touches people’s lives on a constant basis and on a scope that was not familiar beforehand,” she told her friend Davidi Crombie of Crown Heights who accompanied her.
Malca, who dealt with European affairs at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also visited the main shul of 770 Eastern Parkway and enjoyed a meal at Mendy’s Restaurant together with her family, while in Crown Heights.
