Camp Gan Israel of Detroit is underway with exciting activities, swimming, boating and trips, with much of the camp having undergone a $1,000,000 renovation.
Campers arrived to find a major renovation to the camp facilities, with new sleeping quarters for 168 campers and 70 staff.
Over the past 3 years, the renovations done on the camp grounds total over $1,000,000, between the new pool and new spacious bunks.
The renovation is 97% complete, and help is needed so they will be fully ready for the girls’ session, explains Director Moshe Shemtov.
“Boruch Hashem, we have already gotten donations of almost $900,000,” says Shemtov. “We still need $350,000 to pay the contractors for the work that is being completed now.”
“We took the big leap forward, and with the help of a few good friends to cover most of it, we still need you to help us put it over the top.”

I think airconditioning should be their first priority…..
However after all said and done detroit is definatley the best camp. I believe its because They get the best staff , hence the kids have a great time.
