This past Thursday, 3 Teves was a “Bank Holiday” in the UK with most business’s closed, once again, Beis Menachem, in Manchester organized its annual Yom Limud.
The day started at 8:30am with a Chassidus Shiur by Rabbi Moshe Wohlberg on the Ma’aamer Vayakel Moshe 5721. There was a parallel shiur for the boys given by Rabbi Levi Cohen on the Ma’amer “Korov Hashem Lechol Korov.”
After Shacharis, the participants enjoyed a bagel breakfast during which Rabbi Leizer Eidelman gave an informal Shiur on Hilchos Neiros Shabbos.
This was followed by an very interesting Shiur by Rabbi Yisroel Friedman of Chortkov on the importance of Davening towards Yerushalayim.
After a short coffee break, Rabbi Berel Korf gave a Shiur on the important inyan of Amira L’Nochri, giving instructions to a non-Jew on Shabbos.
The final shiur was given by Rabbi Daniel Walker entitled “Aveiro Lishmo – Can an Aveiro ever be a Mitzva.”
The program ended with Mincha at 2:25pm.
