Jewish people of many ages, backgrounds and affiliations, from all over California, came together for a day of study at yeshiva Ohr Elchonon’s 33rd annual Yarchei Kallah.
Participants of the program at the Los Angeles boys Yeshiva enjoyed one on one chavrusa-partner study with students as well as lectures from noted Rabbis, all in the warmth of the Yeshiva atmoshphere.
The day started off with Chassidus, with a lecture given by Rabbi Mendel Schapiro, teacher and mentor at the Yeshiva.
The lecture was followed by Davening and breakfast.
A one-on-one Chavrusa with the students continued with a shiur on that subject by the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Ezra Shochet.
Mincha and lunch was followed by a Talmud class, a lecture by Rabbi Shimon Raichik of Cong. Levi Yitzchak on the laws of “Prayer on the go,” and a lecture from Rabbi Reuven Wolf of the May’yon Yisroel center on the Paradox of Golus.
