Interested in nominating your favorite Lubavitch-owned business for an award?
Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs (CHYE) in Partnership with COLlive.com will be giving out The Chosen Business Awards, an award show for Chabad businesses, at their upcoming Chosen Business Conference on January 16th.
The Chosen Business Awards will celebrate businesses and their leaders who are making an impact on their companies, communities, and industries that deserve recognition for their achievements.
The awards are broken down into two categories – the Impact Award, which will recognize a Crown Heights business that has made a positive impact on the Crown Heights community, and the Leadership Award, which will recognize special individuals who stand at the heart and forefront of a successful business.
The entire Crown Heights community is invited and encouraged to nominate a business or individual that they think deserves to be recognized.
A panel of judges will select the three most compelling submissions in each of the two categories. At the event, the panel will ask the three finalists in each category questions before a live audience. The audience will then vote to decide the winners!
“The awards, and the entire event, will be a great boost for neighborhood businesses, showcasing the best that Crown Heights has to offer,” said Rabbi Eli Cohen of Crown Heights Jewish Community Council.
“Crown Heights is known for its tzedakah and chessed, and we want to also highlight all the good that is being done in the area of commerce,” says Mica Soffer, Publisher and Editor of community news service COLlive.com. “We want to celebrate the businesses and business leaders making a difference in the Crown Heights community.”

I really liked when they did the elevator pitch a few years ago and gave $10,000 to the winner to invest in their business I think that would be more practical to also give that and you would have allot more contestants
They make the best hats in town.
