This year saw the biggest crowds ever as hundreds gathered to participate in lighting NJ’s largest Menorah, in Monroe Township, New Jersey.
The event, now in its 15th year, is sponsored by Chabad Jewish Center, directed by Shluchim Rabbi Eliezer and Chanie Zaklikovsky. The celebration was attended by Senator Linda Greenstein, Councilman Blaise Dipiero, and Planning Board Chairman David Rothman, who read a beautiful proclamation on behalf of the Mayor.
Chabad Hebrew School students Samantha and Rachel read their own essays entitled “What Chanukah means to me”, and the students sang a beautiful rendition of “Oh Dreidel”.
Men women and children enjoyed the live music, Cantor Shmuel Gilbert’s melodies, Dreidelman, doughnuts, hot cocoa and apple cider.
