Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky was the kind of friend to my father that was more akin to brothers. I grew up going to his home in Crown Heights and attending the Rebbe’s fabrengen on Purim. Rabbi Kotlarsky z”l was a giant. He was responsible for spreading Torah to literally hundreds of thousands – and he did it humbly, as an emissary of the Rebbe.
I met him only once – and deeply appreciated our conversation. Moved by his respect for @NCSY and love for all Jews. https://t.co/qNKIRrzIOd

I never met Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, let alone heard him speak.
I’ve never read anything he has written.
But he shepherded the shulchim of the Rebbe.
That I’ve never met him but he still has touched and shaped my life is perhaps the greatest testament to his leadership. pic.twitter.com/25JTUbEBHt

Simi & I are saddened to learn the passing of the venerated and global Chabad leader, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky. If you've heard of Chabad, it's because of Rabbi Kotlarsky's work. Whenever I called him he was always traveling – in an airport in Kenya, a bus in India, visiting a shaliach in Wisconsin.
Truly a giant among men.
