What’s the next big idea to come out of the Jewish community? On June 9th, members of the Tri-state Jewish community will have a chance to pitch their start-up ventures to a panel of experienced entrepreneurs in the Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs second annual “Fund-It” event.
The event will give participants a chance to sell their venture to potential investors in front of a live audience. With the opportunity to raise between up to $250,000 in seed money, this event can help bring your business dreams that much closer to reality.
According to Rabbi Yehoshua Werde, Director of CHYE, “We are making this event to generate opportunity in our community by giving participants the funds and guidance needed to succeed, create a forum for the public to hear the wisdom and insight of these investors, and advocate for entrepreneurship as a career path that our community can follow.”
This year, “Fund-It” is adding a new twist with the addition of an audience choice winner. The company voted most popular by the audience will go home with a prize of $500 and a bicycle from Brooklyn bike shop to help their business.
So, are you ready to make your idea the next big thing? Community members with start-ups in technology, the web, software, or the retail/wholesale space are encouraged to submit!
Applications will be reviewed by an internal board and must be submitted through CHYE.info before June 9th.
