Global leaders in health care and pharmaceuticals, including Johns Hopkins Medicine and Teva Pharmaceuticals, will be honored this year at Chabad at Johns Hopkins annual dinner, to take place this upcoming Tuesday, Rosh Chodesh Nissan (March 12), at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
Dean and CEO of Johns Hopkins, Dr. Paul Rothman, and president and CEO of Teva Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Jeremy Levin, along with CEO of Teva USA Mr. Allan Oberman, are among the world renowned award recipients at this year’s gala.
According to Brooklyn financier and event co-chair Simi Jacobson, other award recipients include the founder and president of BioElectronics Corporation, Mr. Andy Whelan, a publicly traded company based in Maryland.
“We chose to honor Mr. Whelan because of his longstanding personal philanthropy and his leadership in successfully bringing to market breakthrough medical products,” said Simi Jacobson, who has many ties with industry leaders in the financial world.
This year’s dinner, held annually, celebrates the 10th anniversary since the founding of the Chabad House back in 2003.
