The first game of the Crown Heights Softball league playoffs began with Sponsor Yossi Soffer of COLlive.com throwing out the ceremonial first pitch with Dailysteals.com representative Pacey Lipkind.
Then the game began. In the bottom of the first inning pitcher Chezky Herz for the COLlive team The Tribe rocked a ball off the nearby Fire Station in deep center field for a home run. The score was 1-0 and stayed that way until the top of the sixth inning where the Kloppers tied the score at 1. The Tribe then smacked the Kloppers with 6 unanswered runs in the bottom half of the sixth inning. The Kloppers went quietly in the top of the seventh wich secured the victory for the tribe. Final Score: 7-1 Tribe wins.
The second game of the day paired the Landmark Funding Red Heifers vs the Yaffa Wigs Mad Hatters. The teams played a tight game all the way through. The final score was Heifers 4, Hatters 3.
Game two starts tonight at St. John’s Rec Park on Troy avenue and Bergen Street at 7:30 pm, with the Hatters taking on the Heifers, followed by the Tribe vs Kloppers.
