We live in an ever changing world with new challenges that arise in the chinuch of children. While there are general principles to follow in education, like finding a balance between kindness and discipline, the specific approach should always be tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of each student. This means that even though there are some rules that apply to everyone, the way they’re implemented can be depending on the person.
Morah Teichtel explains how “the goal remains the same… The methods we use and the tools we use have to evolve according to the needs of the individual, of the time and of the place.”
In regards to the Rebbe’s response to different individuals it is noted that, “Whether regarding post high school education, regarding camp, regarding many different factors. People get different answers because people are different. No two people are the same so how can they get the same answers?”
