In time for the coming school year, Torah For Children has released the 2nd volume of the Children’s Chumash – Parshas Noach and a Yiddish edition of Parshas Bereishis.
Many children in school need to experience learning first hand through visual instruction and hands on activities. The Children’s Chumash is a tool that does that for every step of the learning process embedded into an actual Chumash.
The Children’s Chumash is somewhat like a carefully engineered lesson plan with professional artwork already built in to the student’s textbook. The many hours of preparation that a teacher normally has to put in, has already been done in the form of highest quality materials that combines the talents of top educators, graphic designers and illustrators. All that is left for the teacher to do, is content delivery and classroom management. Principals no longer need endless paper trails of lesson plans. A single copy of the Children’s Chumash has everything that will be covered in one book.
One of the greatest benefits of a classroom using the Children’s Chumash is the unique way weaker students are reached while simultaneously challenging the brighter students. In large classrooms with a wide range of learning abilities, the Children’s Chumash helps teachers reach all students in their classroom.
With the release of the Children’s Chumash and Seder Kriah, Torah For Children has begun publishing a full suite of state of the art curriculum for Limmudei Kodesh subjects. In recent years, there has been a push for Judaic studies to make use of modern scientific discoveries and upgrade. Some of the terminology includes: Standards, visual learning, differentiated instruction, hands-on learning, skill-based learning, multiple modalities, inclusion and the list goes on. To put the theory into action in the form of a ready to use textbook is something that Torah For Children has pioneered, raising the bar to a new level.
With Lech Lecha in the making and scheduled for release over the Summer of 2016, as well as a classroom edition of a hands-on fun filled kriah workbook, Torah For Children already has a full Limmudei Kodesh curriculum for age 5-7. Over the coming years, plans are in the making to cover all the core textual subjects in Limmudei Kodesh throughout the elementary years with the level of difficulty gradually increasing.

Well done! Excellent workbook
Worth every penny. This chumush should be used in every classroom – especially first grade. This chumush teaches chumush skills making learning so exciting and easy to learn. Every child learns better this way . I highly recommend it . 5 stars
We’ve been using the first one they did on Bereshis with our 5 yr old at home and he loves it. Does cost a good bit more than other chumashim, but it’s thick like a phonebook and goes into lots of details. A good investment in your kids.
We used the B’reishis volume for our children, and it is hand-down an amazing resource.
Whether your children are in school or are being homeschooled, we cannot recomend it enough.
Well done on creating this book. Looks amazing, the graphics, colour and layout of information looks extremely user friendly, exciting for kids and great for teachers.
