גומר זיין דעם תהלים שבת מברכים – דאס דארף מען אפהיטען, דאס איז נוגע איהם, זיינע קינדער און קינד’ס קינדער.
Saying the entire Tehillim on Shabbos Mevarchim must be upheld; it is important for every person, their children, and their grandchildren.
As you may know, saying the entire Tehillim can feel daunting and maybe even impossible, especially for children. Yet, each month, committed chayolim around the world join forces to say over 150,000 Kapitelach of Tehillim on Shabbos Mevorchim! In fact, one month we said a record of 212,317 Kapitelach, Wow! This impressive amount of Tehilllim saying does not happen by itself.
Our Tzivos Hashem System of Discipline has made this important task attainable for our chayolim. Each chayol is assigned a specific goal, or quota, of Tehillim to say each Shabbos Mevorchim. These quotas are assigned appropriately by grade and grow incrementally as the chayol grows each year. Because every chayol is different, we even have customized training, with different quotas in different ladders, to set a growth track pace in line with what each individual child can handle. After 7 consistent years of self-discipline and commitment, the chayol completes his/her self-training, and can successfully say Tehillim every Shabbos Mevarchim. As TH Alumni Chaya Mushka Greenbaum said “I started off just saying a bit, and in the end, I finished the whole Tehillim.”
Chayolim that mark their mission of successfully saying their Tehillim quota on Shabbos Mevarchim accumulate missions and earn medals. They can track their progress on the Tzivos Hashem App, as well as get recognized for their effort in the monthly Battlefront Report Magazine. TH Alumni Mendel Korf said “I like Shabbos Mevorchim Tehillim because it feels great to try and beat my quota of kapitelach each time.” Posters in the schools classrooms and hallways bring awareness to the chayolim of the part they have in the bigger goal; reaching the army’s goal. They feel a sense of belonging and accountability to the entire class, school, and Tzivos Hashem.

Base Commander of Bnos Menachem, Blumi Mishulovin, lets her chayolim in on the real power we have. “We get delicious treats for saying Shabbos Mevorchim Tehillim, and we’re excited to be featured as Perfect Platoons in Hachayol, but we know that’s not the reason we’re saying Tehillim. Our Tehillim has so much koach, goes straight up to Hashem, brings so much bracha to our whole family and helps our family in Eretz Yisrael tremendously! We are pumped to use our koach again every month!”
