The Chassidus Club of New Haven, CT, an extra-curricular program to enhance the Chassidic learning in the Jewish Day School, celebrated Yud Tes Kislev with a Mivtza hachana, rally and Moshiach fair.
The theme at Chassidus Club this year is Moshiach. In spirit of this, the children prepared for Yud Tes Kislev, with a mivtza hachana where for a week prior to Yud Tes Kislev they learned every day a Moshiach pisgam, its significance, explanation and meaning. With a special emphasis on how to live with moshiach, and incorporate these ideas in their daily lives.
The older Children created the Moshiach Fair, with a booth for each one of the ten pisgamim. The booths were all very hands on and interactive, with games and activities related to the pisgam.
Well over a hundred people attended the fair to view the exhibits and join a rally.
The Mivtza hachana, Moshiach fair and Rally were organized by Chassidus Club of New Haven.
Sarah G and Avrumi D and Leora!
In her typically quiet, behind the scenes way, Rochale Lustig works hard to add Chassidus to the lives of our day-school-educated children. From youngsters to adolescents, they encounter a program custom-made for their age and interests. She shuns honor, but to quote Aishes Chayil–“At alis al kulana!”
