One of the Chabad Shluchim from the the northern part of Israel hosted this past Motzoei Shabbos refugees from the missile-stricken southern part of Israel.
The rabbi used the opportunity of the Melave Malka meal to mark the Hakhel year with giving charity. He mentioned the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s words that such a year has greater powers.
Some of the guests, not Chabad Chassidim, joined in the gathering. Their children asked to say Tehillim for the safely and recovery of the IDF soldiers fighting in the Gaza war.
However, to one of the participants, giving Tzedaka at night seemed odd and he voiced his opinion to the others, questioning whether this should be done.
He got his answer a half an hour later.
Driving with his family, his small car was hit by a 64 ton truck – twice.
The next morning, in a phone conversation with the Shliach, the man reported: “Thank G-d, miraculously all the passengers walked out without a scratch.”
He thanked the rabbi for encouraging them to say Tehillim and give charity. “I have no doubt that in that merit we were saved,” he said.
thank u number 3
once a chosid gave tzedaka at night his chaver told him we shouldent do it, he asked the friedeker rebbe, and the rebbe answered that dont worry if he is trying to stop you giving tzedakah at night he probably give by day either
It may be that he questioned saying tehillim at night . I don’t think anyone has a minhag not to give tzedaka at night.
what a miracle
