On Long Island thousands tuned in to the 29th Annual Chanukah Telethon, a beacon of ‘Yiddishkeit’ – spreading the warmth of Torah and tradition while demonstrating the most essential quality of Judaism … helping those in need.
This year, major singing stars, the Israeli-American rappers Nissim Black, Kosha Dillz, Yoni Z and the Rocking Dancing Rabbis, took center stage on behalf of Chabad Mineola’s outstanding array of social service programs. They were joined by the leaders in the entertainment industry, civic and corporate communities.
The central theme of this year’s Telethon was a focus on finding the strength of unity in diversity as expressed in carefully prepared videos the ‘Snap on Shabbat’ experience and the “Multiple Branched Chanukah Menorah” built on one solid base.
The Telethon is directed by Rabbi Anchelle Perl, together with Co-Hosts Jay Oliver and Kive Strickoff. Rabbi Perl is well known to people of all faiths in this region; as a religious leader and philosopher, and as a philanthropic go-getter for the organization he directs.
Rabbi Perl has put his deep personal faith into practice. His stated objective is to “maintain a proactive approach to community building, uplift society, educate young and old to the beauty of heritage and roots – to communicate the good so inherent in all human beings.”

Wow really amazing
What a creative Rabbi you are…so enjoyable.
Constant entertainment and important lessons spoken by Rabbi Perl. A true inspiration for all Shluchim around the world! My family and I have not missed a Telethon since the beginning.
Kol HaKovod to you.
