Chanukah Party in Winter Storm
Despite a severe winter storm in Seattle, a Chanukah party for the Russian Jewish community still took place. The planned olive oil press demonstration equipment could not be delivered due to the snow storm, so the kids built a snow Menorah instead and enjoyed a program run by Shimona Leah and Rivka Rapoport. i’ve never seen a snow menorah. what a wonderful idea. we have lots of snow in NY so it’s ideal. i might just make a menorah even once chanukah past. best wishes to everyone.
