On Tuesday, the third night of Chanukkah, 500 men women and children joined His Excellency Don Yoel Barnea-the Israeli ambassador to Uruguay and other communal and national dignitaries, to light the public Menorah along the skyline in Montevideo, Uruguay.
The band of the National Guard played Jewish favorites, while clowns and famous soccer players entertained the many children gathered for the special Hakhel gathering. After that activity there was a special Chanukkah BBQ for teenagers where more than 50 attended. both activities where beautiful and a big Kidush Hashem.
