This past week, Chabad won a championship.
The Mens Shul Softball League (MSSL) in Massachusetts was founded 20 years as a small group of 6 congregations and has grown into a 48-team league.
One of the original 6 founding teams was the men of the Wellesley-Weston Chabad Center led by Shliach Rabbi Moshe Bleich. The “Wellesley Weston Chabad Shluggers” are the only frum team in the league.
Since then, they have been one of the better teams, being in the championship game for the 7th time this year. And they won again this year for the 4th time.
“Over the years there have been endless opportunities for mivtzoim while being part of the league,” says Rabbi Bleich. They have proudly offered fellow players the opportunity to put on Tefillin, and have distributed Matzah and items for other Jewish holidays.
