A first ever car-menorah parade took place in Lakewood, NJ on the last day Chanukah, organized by Lakewood Shliach Rabbi Yerachmiel Altman along with Rabbi Moshe Gourarie of Chabad of Toms River and Rabbi Levi Schapiro of Yeshiva Bais Menachem, Manalapan, NJ.
In a tour sure to start a tradition, they made their way from Lakewood, NJ, through Howell, NJ and back to Lakewood. They made sure to visit a number of shopping centers as well as a few of the local Lakewood landmarks.
Special thanks to Meir Moshe Altman for planning, organizing and leading the parade and for his continuous work to light up the world with nightly outdoor menorah lightings.
Thanks also go to the Bochurim from the Bais Menachem smicha program for their support and interest in bringing this project to fruition.
After the parade a farbrengen was held in honor of Zos Chanukah and for the complete and immediate refuah Shleima of haShlucha Chaya Draizel Merka bas Malka (חי’ דריזל מערקא בת מלכה).
I plead ignorance and apathy. I don’t know and I don’t
care!!!!!!
