Down in the Deep South, right off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, is a city called Mobile, Alabama. Jews have been living in Mobile for close to 200 years, Chabad has been there for just two. But these have been two years of leaps and bounds.
Public Menorah lightings in the main square downtown with the participation of the Mayor, and hundreds of others. Themed Purim parties, communal Seders, JLI courses, women’s events, Shofar factory, Sukkah Mobile, local Jewish Art Calendar, convenient “Kosher Shuttle”, prison visitations, Shabbos meals for visitors and locals… Full speed ahead, Moshiach will be here any minute and every Jew must be touched!
Amazingly enough, after only two years Chabad of Mobile is inaugurating its new home, a much needed center to host its many activities.
You know how it is. You have family on shlichus, or friends, or maybe are a shliach yourself. You know the joy of a successful program, of reaching Yidden, of bringing nachas to the Rebbe. And you know the stress of trying to figure out “how are they/we going to cover all of this???”
Please help us continue to do what we are doing. Through your donation you are literally joining our shlichus and have a part in the zchus of all that we do.
Today, from 12 PM Thursday to 12 PM Friday, your donations will be matched. But we MUST reach our goal of $40,000!
